HCG Diet Stabilization Day 3: Just Put Me in a Padded Room Will You?

Morning Weigh In: Up .5 lbs.

Another ½ a pound gain this morning. I can’t take it anymore! My first call was to my friend (the holidays prevented me from phone the doc). As she provided the time for me to lament over this “growing” problem, she paused, let me catch my breath and told me that she had gone through the same thing. She experienced a 3 pound gain in these first few stabilization days, but as her body began re-adjusting, those pounds came back off.

Okay. That’s fine for her – but this is me! How am I supposed to manage my day without killing members of my family as I stare down at a scale showing me a gain?? (by the way, I still think the scale is broken!) I hung up the phone and decided that there was really nothing I could do except try to stick to the increased calorie diet and just do what I’m told. I figured, forget this!
I’m going to push the 1500 mark and see what happens! With that in mind, I set out on the journey that is my menu for the day.

Breakfast: one bite of banana with peanut butter
Lunch: green beans, small salad with tomato only ranch dressingwater
Snack: two pieces of celery with goat cheese
Dinner: 3 oz steak, 5 small shrimp, a couple bites of corn, salad (tomato, black olives, onion, mushroom and greek dressing)
water
2 beers (hey, the Suns are playing!)
Snack: a handful of cashews, ½ of an apple

ESTIMATED TOTAL CALORIES: 1190

I amped up my water intake, thinking I needed to offset and flush out the beer consumption today. We’ll cross our fingers on this one.
