Morning Weigh In: Down 1 lbs.

One whole pound! I can’t believe it! I thought I wouldn’t see that ever again. I’ve just been chipping away at this little by little for so many days that I thought the sight of one pound weight loss was a thing of the past. It’s nice to see you leave again little pound!

This is the day for my follow up with Dr. Watwood. We’ll discuss the next phase of stabilization and talk about any concerns or needs I might have. I’ll tell you, it’s been a God-send having her at my disposal throughout all of this. If you are considering doing this diet, you should do it through the help of a doctor. You NEED to have that guidance and quick answers to things that you may be doubting at the time. She’s been a great cheerleader!

As my appointment proceeded, I realized all of the things I’m going to be able to eat once I’m off of this strenuous diet! Cheese! I will be able to have cheese again!! I know this may sound odd, but believe me, it’s a big deal! I’ll be able to actually go out with my friends and family again…to a real, public restaurant! I’ll be able to order real food and…water! Sheesh! Some things won’t change.

Actually, as long as I stay away from sugar and starch, I’ll be okay. After being on this groundhog’s day diet, no sugars or starches should be a cake walk (a “cake” walk? Focus! Focus!). I’ll have three weeks of that stabilization and then, with all of the new habits I’ve formed over those two months, I will look forward to a healthier way of eating! Hallelujah! Hey, as long as I can have an actual salad with more than one vegetable in it, I’m happy!

Lunch: 3oz chicken, lettuce, one breadstick and an apple (yick)
Dinner: 3oz crab, tomatoes, one breadstick and strawberries (yum!)
