Morning Weigh In: Down 0 lbs.
I woke up late. Extremely late. I forgot to set the alarm last night, and was an entire hour behind. Frantically, I rushed through my morning to make it to my appointment across town. Before I left, I gave myself my injection and weighed myself. I lost nothing! Zero, nadda’, nothing!! How could this possibly be??
Ticked off and distracted, I made my way to the car and started off into the morning traffic. I began to anxiously re-trace my steps from the day before. I have been religiously committed to this diet. I haven’t cheated on my intake, I haven’t faulted by sneaking a bite of my daughters PBJ and I’ve been force-feeding myself yucky celery while drinking enough water to sink a small boat. I’ve decided to put my mind and body through this state of denial in order to fit into my jeans! Surely, there must be something wrong with the scale! Or…something else?
I called Derma Health Institute for some sliver of hope and possibly an explanation for this stall in weight loss. After they talked me down out of my emotional tree, I was re-assured that there could be some other factors involved. This stall is probably temporary and that I can re-adjust my eating today, hopefully making up for some missing poundage. True, I’m approaching my monthly cycle and true, I didn’t go through my regular morning ritual… and?? I decided to increase my water intake and lay off the breadsticks for the day. I’ll give it a try. In light of yesterday’s successes, I’ve obviously taken a front seat on an emotional roller coaster. Funny, I’m afraid of heights. Get me down from here!
Some grilled chicken for lunch along with lettuce and a make shift dressing (fresh lemon juice, seasoning and some splashes of vinegar with an orange to top it all off. For dinner: 3oz. of lean beef, tomatoes and strawberries. My calorie count is a bit less than usual, but I’m hoping I can make up for the stall in weight. We’ll see!
